Additional Activities

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to browse in the Ruby Grant Piano Pedagogy Resource Center and other facilities in the School of Music and Weitzenhoffer College of Fine Arts.

Be sure to save time to visit the Fred Jones, Jr., Museum of Art, located across the street from the music school and home of paintings by such artists as Degas, Gauguin, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Vuillard and others.

Campus Corner is always a treat for the campus visitor.  This several block commercial district is a favorite for shopping in the various boutiques and the varied eating places.  There is something for everyone!

Enjoy your stay in Norman.  Click here to go to the Norman Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Want to take a jaunt to downtown Oklahoma City and the Bricktown Entertainment District, or possibly the Oklahoma City National Memorial?  There is a commuter bus that picks up from the South Oval at OU and spend a day or part of a day in downtown Oklahoma City.  Here is the link to the bus site, and if you want the "real" scoop to downtown OKC via the commuter bus, contact our piano pedagogy commuter fan Susan, and she can give you the "ins and outs" of taking public transportation and the commuter bus to and from OKC.
